The Indian National Physics Olympiad (INPhO) is a national level physics competition for high school students in India. It is held annually and is organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE). The competition is open to students who are in Class 11 or Class 12 and have a strong interest in physics. The INPhO is a three-tier competition, with the first tier being a written exam held at the state level. The top students from each state are then invited to participate in the second tier, which is a written exam held at the national level. The top students from the second tier are then invited to participate in the third tier, which is a practical exam held at the national level. The winners of the INPhO are awarded medals and certificates, and they are also eligible to represent India at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO).
