The Kingdom of Mysore was a kingdom in southern India, founded in 1399 and lasting until 1947. It was ruled by the Wodeyar dynasty, and at its peak, the kingdom covered much of present-day Karnataka, as well as parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. The kingdom was known for its military prowess, its cultural achievements, and its economic prosperity.
