The primary objective of the National Geospatial Policy of India is to promote the use of geospatial technologies for sustainable development. This includes promoting the use of geospatial technologies for planning, decision-making, and monitoring in areas such as agriculture, forestry, water resources management, and disaster management.

Lack of public awareness about geospatial technologies is not a key challenge in the implementation of the National Geospatial Policy of India. In fact, there is a growing awareness among the public about the importance of geospatial technologies and their potential benefits.

The National Geospatial Data Infrastructure (NGDI) in India plays a crucial role in providing a single point of access to geospatial data from different sources, promoting the sharing of geospatial data among different government agencies, and developing standards for the collection, storage, and dissemination of geospatial data.

The use of geospatial technologies is increasing rapidly in India and is expected to continue to grow in the future. There is no indication that the use of geospatial technologies will decrease in the future.
